Nominator's project description
| Professor Constance Chang-Hasnain from the University of California, Berkeley, is a leading international scientist in the field of semiconductor lasers and subwavelength photonic nanostructures. She has made important contributions to high-speed and widely tunable surface-emitting semiconductor lasers. During her stay in Germany, Professor Chang-Hasnain intends to develop novel high-reflectivity subwavelength gratings for long-wavelength surface-emitting nanolasers. Professor Chang-Hasnain is hosted by Professor Amann and Professor Finley at the Walter Schottky Institut at the Technische Universität München. |
